BTCC – Brand Hatch

 

With a shakeup in this years engineering team and a change over to RML parts, there was a level of uncertainty before this years round of testing. This was soon proven an unwarranted concern after a very positive testing session for Adam Morgan at Donington park in the run up to Round 1 at Brands Hatch.

With testing done and dusted, the first leg of this season at Brands Hatch was a successful one for FAI sponsored Adam and the WIX racing team. After qualifying 7th, Adam maintained a solid standing in Race 1 and 2, finishing 9th and 8th respectively.

The third and final race proved most important for Adam, staving off a long and intense attack from two of the West Surrey Racing BMW drivers after obtaining the lead after just one lap. Adam held his nerve and finished in 1st place, taking his standing to 3rd place overall. This also means that Adam is currently in first place on the independent team standings. The next race will be hosted at Donington Park on the 17th April.
