BTCC - Brands Hatch 1st - 2nd October

After a number of top spots and strong overall ranking throughout the 2016 season, the final round hosted at Brands Hatch was an opportunity for Adam to go all out and push for best final ranking possible; especially after a race win at the same venue earlier in the year.

After qualifying 8th, Adam immediately started putting pressure on the lead drivers in Race 1 and managed to bypass Jack Goff and Hunter Abbott to grab the 6th spot early on. Sandwiched between the two Halfords Honda Civics and with Turkington gaining a considerable lead over the rest of the pack, Adam held his ground throughout the race to finish in 6th. Race 2 then resulted in 8th spot for Adam with the Subaru Levorgs dominating the track.

The 3rd and final race of the season was one of the most exciting for the WIX Racing / FAI team with Adam locked in an intense fight for 3rd position with Gordon Shedden’s Honda in the final few laps of the race. With Sheddens success ballast from the previous race appearing to hold him back, Adam looked comfortable in taking the 3rd spot. Just as Adam was side by side and about to move in to 3rd, the safety car was called out and all chances of obtaining 3rd position had disappeared. Adam finished Race 3 in 4th position.
