#TBT – Lotus Elan IWR Coupe
The IWR GT2 was a one off car designed by Ian walker for a Swiss customer. The interior was done by Radford, more commonly found in Aston Martins or celebrity Mini Coopers. The dash was finished in black leather rather than the traditional wood veneer. The "Bugatti" blue was the only thing specified by the customer who had an extensive collection of sport cars all finished in the French racing blue. Ians signature for the car was to have the wheels chrome plated, something Colin Chapman had never considered, but later adopted for the Series 3 Elan. The IWR GT2 with the family for 37 years covering just 69000 km. It has yet to be repainted or re-trimmed, a testament to the workman ship and quality that went into the design and building of this car.
