#TBT – Sean Walker testing the Lotus 79
The car pictured is the LOTUS 79 that Mario Andretti drove to win the 1978 world formula one championship.
Sean was asked to shake the car down after it had been completely rebuilt for Andretti to be reunited with the car 25 years later at the Goodwood festival. Sean had previously driven this car at a LOTUS festival at Brands Hatch two weeks before Goodwood, demonstrating the car thanks to the invitation of Clive Chapman, son of the LOTUS founder Colin Chapman . Sean had the good fortune to drive 6 different Formula one cars but none of them came close to how good the Lotus 79 was, but then it did win a world championship!
