The 2013 incarnation of the Qashqai built on the success of the first generation, with improvements on interior space and equipment. A great all-rounder for families, Nissan had hit a sweet spot in the market.
The second generation brought with it a new engine line-up that gave credible options in both petrol and diesel power. Small but peppy 1.3 turbo for the former and a highly popular 1.5 dCi covering the latter; replacing the need for a large diesel unit. Another tick on the wish list of consumers as the noisy 2.0 lump in the previous gen was not well received.
The Qashqai offered a solution to a problem many didn’t know they had; the need for a cross-over that was barely larger than a VW Golf – seemingly offered at the right time, propelling a family favourite to the best-selling vehicle of its type in the UK.
The need for a quality repair has been at the heart of FAI development for this much-loved Japanese vehicle. We have developed a significant 100+ components, covering both chassis and engine.
